Finally, after many years, I’ve designed my take on the perfect all-around packable axe for the wilderness.

Hand forged in our neighbouring country Latvia, I finally found the right makers to craft what I had envisioned: a premium quality, fully handmade custom axe with the properties I personally look for.

I wanted an axe that is small and packable, yet with a broader axe head capable of felling trees. Excels in all essential tasks and equipped with the best protection, a high quality durable leather sheath. Ethically made by skilled hands that tell a story, and beautiful to behold.

Grip close to the axe head for comfort and control while carving. Slide your hand down into the palm swell when you need full power and precision in your swing.

Every axe head is stamped with its own number, giving life and individuality to each piece.

Each axe comes with a certificate of authenticity, signed by the three makers and myself, ensuring our highest quality standards.

meet the makers

Marcis forges the axe heads in his own forge. Hard work goes into hammering and shaping them all by hand and eye. You can see it in the marks he leaves on every axe, making them all unique.

Janis crafts the handles in a workshop attached to the house where he lives with his family. He chooses the wood, carves and sands every handle to fit its own unique axe head perfectly.

Dace creates the leather sheaths in her quiet home studio. From thick 5mm hides she cuts, stitches and molds each sheath by hand. This gives the axe both protection and character.

All three makers live and work in Latvia, each from their own small workshop at home. Independent artisans keeping their craft alive. By choosing their work, you make it possible for them to continue creating with the care, time and detail that only true craftsmanship allows.
